Pop Up Shop
Come join us in the gym on Saturday, Nov 23 from 10-12 for a Women At Risk, International Pop-up Boutique for some pre-holiday shopping and Informational Session. Women At Risk, International unites and educates to create circles of protection around those at risk through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects. Through the Pop-up boutiques, rescued women & men are empowered to earn an income with dignity far from their lives in slavery. Every $300 in product sales is enough to support an individual in an international safe house for an entire month. Speaker will start about 10:15, and present for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, the boutique will be open where you can purchase items such as handmade jewelry, hand blown glass ornaments, scarves, and much more. All are welcome, but take under advisement that the topic of the speaker will center on human trafficking, so may not be appropriate for young children.
Pasties
Our church has been making delicious beef pasties for 50 years! Our pasties are typically made fresh on the third Monday and Tuesday of each month, September through May. You can choose between beef or veggie pasties. Place an order by calling 810-635-4555 or stop in on the days they are made fresh. The cost is $6.00 each while supplies last.
Fresh Pasties will be made 11/11 and 11/12
This year, our church will be a sponsor for the Wreaths Across America project. You can sponsor a wreath or wreaths that will be placed on veteran’s graves at the Great Lakes National Cemetery on December 14th. Anyone can help place the wreaths on the graves if you would like to help. For each wreath that our church sponsors, we will receive $5 back. We will split that money between the church’s mortgage and Friends of Abrams Park.
